HUNTING KNIVES AND ACCESORIES FOR HAPPY HUNTING

At Hunting Knives R Us, we want to make sure that you get the best hunting products at reasonable prices. We sell popular name brand hunting knives- Browning, Columbia River and Gerber knives - in both fixed blade and folding blade. Making the choice between using a fixed knife or a folding knife, as well as, a drop point, skinner or gut hook, can make an important difference for your hunting success.

Fixed Blade

A fixed blade is permanently fixed in the open position and tends to have a sheath to store in for safety. These types of knives tend to be stronger due to the material running the length of the knife. Avid hunters use fixed blades most often.

Folding Blade

A folding blade can be folded into its handle with a pivot point and lock mechanism. These knives are easier to carry and to use for other purposes in addition to hunting.

Drop Point Blade

A drop point knife usually has a thick, curved blade which allows quick skinning with minimal damage to the meat. This design is beneficial to remove the skin off the animal using the entire edge instead of just the point of the knife. This knife is best used for big game hunters.

Skinner Blade

A skinner blade usually has a broad blade that can assist with easy removal of the animal skin from the meat. This knife is also used most by big game hunters and is great for those who also complete the butchering process themselves.

Gut Hook Blade

A gut hook blade is used to make a small incision into the skin of the abdomen, then inserting the gut hook to cut open the abdomen to prevent any damage to the meat. The gut hook can be difficult to sharpen though, so keep in mind that it is only sharpened on one side.
